I have been a little bit busy last week, since I now have a job at CEMEX, as a consultant, and things have been interesting. I had to analyze the business model and find new and innovative ways to drive organic growth. It has not been easy, since the construction sector has come to a halt, because of the economic crisis, and CEMEX main business is provide construction solutions to the mexican market, by using concrete and complements.
I have found time to answer most of your comments, and to draw, but I want to apologize to those who I have not answered yet on this week. I want to make clear that I'm still thinking about you all, and that I'm still your friend, but the time, the darn time, is not enough to fit all the activities in my agenda.
World News:
Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died this week. We will really miss those icons of Pop culture. Jacksons dance-steps (those crazed walk-backwards steps) will live forever.
Mexico's Navy is searching for the legendary Isla Bermeja, which, if found, will allow us to push our maritime border 400 km further into the north of the Gulf of Mexico, and thus giving us the control of over 15% of the World's crude oil reserves. Those reserves are right now under "international waters" juridical regime, but if Isla Bermeja is found (which is 95% probable) they will become mexican jurisdiction.
Argentina and Russia removed visa requirements for travel between them. That is: any Argentinian with a passport can visit and stay in Russia for 90 days, without a visa. Any Russian with a passport can visit and stay in Argentina for 90 days, without a visa. This measure wil take effect since June 29th, as part of the intense campaign that Russia is conducting to leverage itself in the American continent, by reinforcing its strategic alliances with Latin America.
China, Brasil and Argentina abandoned the US dollar for trade between them. All trade between those nations will be done using the Chinese yuan, the Argentinian peso and the Brazilian real. Previously, the products had to be measured in the local currency of the exporter, then converted into US dollars, and finally, converted into the local currency of the importer. China and Russia had been trading between them in rubles and yuans without using dollars since the last quarter of 2008.
Russia will provide military aid (i.e 100 advanced jet fighters and helicopters) for Bolivia, Venezuela, Brasil and Ecuador, to defend themselves against "potential menaces", *wink, wink*.

No me quejo, nunca me faltó. A otras personas les ha ido peor, durante nuestra crisis en 2001 y recientemente durante la famosa crisis internacional. Para nosotros fue mucho peor la primera, hace ocho años...

Indeed, there's even a South American Defense Council, like a NATO of the south, to respond against attacks. An attack against any nation of South America will be considered as an attack against all of them. And a partner of this will be the Shangai Cooperation Organization, the SCO.
