On Monday.
I woke up and the first I noticed was the f*cking cold weather: I'm definitely a warm person. I took a shower (again, f*cking cold) and had breakfast. I took the Metrorrey (aerial urban railroad of this city) to get to my work. It's overstated that I'm "suited" (with a suit)by this time. The Corporative Offices are amazing, the luxury that L. Zambrano has put into them is very interesting, to say the less. After all we are talking about the World's #1 provider of building materials and the third largest cement producer. After several stairs and halls we finally arrived to the initial presentation and meeting. We met our new colleagues and then we talked about this year objectives. Apparently I'm going to be cooperating in the Renewable Energy and Green Tech project area. One of the CEMEX's goals for next year (apart from making chunks of money) is to boost its social and environmental responsability and to project this scope to the Mexican society.
There are two parts of the project: one which I can talk about here and other which I can't.
The thing that I can talk is that if the project works and is implemented we would have reduced the dangerous, global-warming inducing, CO2 emissions in the average Mexican home by 20%. And of course the project needs planning, market studies, metrics, logic, and week taking thingamaging sessions of ideation and action. Can't reveal further details.
And after this session, we were taken in a tour through the Corporative. I had "hora de la comida" (lunch time). I had "cabrito" for lunch, with a soft drink. Then to read the preliminary reports that would be useful for the project and finally to the home to rest.
On Tuesday:
Pretty much the same routine, with the f*cking cold weather, but this time we were assigned to read (and I mean a lot) about the needs of the Latino and Mexican housing market and the opportunities for Green business around it. The day passed faster than I thought. I had tacos for lunch, with a bit of salad and lemonade. When I returned home it was very dark. You could hear the silence for a while. Finally I was safely at my department, writing this.
Wow! This is the first time that I write a journal as if I was really writing a journal for myself hahaha.
Also, you gotta see that there are other reasons for me to go living in Monterrey:
I think that most of my male viewers will enjoy this, unless one certain "brainless-wannabe-mechanic", who would rather prefer to see NFL jocks instead of *hum* ¿ the cheerleaders? darn, IT could be a bit more normal and at least have a like for mermaids. But again, he wouldn't enjoy the video because it features mexican girls, whom IT considers Klingons.
Take care comrads!
With love, Rodrigo.
